#GILLINGHAMNPT
Another hot one this week for us in North Dorset! We have all been busy progressing various incidents that have been reported to us, such as ongoing Criminal Damage, Burglaries and Drugs offences.
PCSO Vicky had her Community Contact Point (CCP) at Waitrose yesterday, several people attended and spoke to her about anti-social driving up the High Street, this is something we are aware of and are looking to try and target these over the next few weeks for you. PCSO Vicky has already been out with the speed gun, and we will continue to use this as well as our other powers to keep this at bay.
This week PC Ash has been progressing the criminal damage to the town council toilet, we have identified and offender and they are assisting with ongoing enquiries in relation to this.
PC Ash and PCSO Vicky have been conducting some welfare checks on vulnerable individuals, all was in order and intelligence relating to issues will be submitted over the course of the weekend. The whole team have been out on foot as much as we can, around town and we have popped into shops and conducted hi-visibility patrols to deter shoplifters.
NPT (Neighbourhood Policing Team) have had various reports already regarding children breaking into derelict properties, and causing damage. We are asking parents to make sure they know where their children are, and to reiterate that these places are dangerous. We have worked with the owners to try and secure the buildings as best we can. #WhereAreYourChildren?
To wrap up this week, the team have been assisting with ongoing investigations with #SturminsterNPT assisting with searches and arrests, but I won't steal their thunder and I am sure they will update you soon.
Please keep reporting any intelligence to us through either 101, or online through the Dorset Police webpage.
